building wonders

when i am building a wonder, sometimes it will stop and say that my city can no longer build that wonder and it switches to something else. i can not build that wonder anymore. is there any way to build it eg: pyramids

Someone else has likely finished the wonder before you. Unfortunately, each wonder can only be built once.

In the Preferences, you can click on "Wonder Popups" so you'll be notified when other civs have built a wonder.
