Buildings/graphics glitch

So, does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this odd graphical glitch? I have also observed that city center and district upgrade buildings do not appear properly. Not a deal breaker but very annoying when located at the center of the map. Tried disabling mods one at a time to isolate any conflicts but no joy. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

I have Nvidia Geforce Experience which had "optimized" the game, so I tried reverting to my old settings. The graphical glitch wasn't as bad with the higher settings I reverted back to but still showed up mid game, albeit not as bad. Here is my dxdiag.

Well I just started a new game and the problem seems to have fixed itself. Maybe the lower settings which the NVidia software had selected for the game when optimizing, was causing the issues? It is strange, whatever the cause. Not only is the weird glitch not appearing in the middle of the map anymore, but the city and district buildings are now showing up properly again. Thanks Browd for pointing me in the right direction.

So, does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this odd graphical glitch? I have also observed that city center and district upgrade buildings do not appear properly. Not a deal breaker but very annoying when located at the center of the map. Tried disabling mods one at a time to isolate any conflicts but no joy. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Hey John, did you manage to fix this problem in the end? I'm having the same problem. The graphics glitch is like in your pic but goes the whole way around the map. Anything under it I can't see. The only way I can get rid of it is to save then reload, but it comes back after a few turns

Hi. Yes it did fix itself. My gut feeling is that it was a mod that I had added from the steam workshop that was causing it. Check all of your downloaded mods and see if any are out of date or haven't been updated by the author in a while. Try disabling them all, and then re-enable them one by one to see if you can find the culprit. Also, all of the usual trite suggestions, like make sure your graphics card and other hardware is up to date. Also, make sure that, if you haven't purchased the DLC content, that any mods you have running are still functional without certain DLC updates. Sorry I can't be of more help, I don't know for sure why it stopped messing up.
