I'm currently trying to add some of the fine wonders and improvements that are available here, however, I have hit a snag.

As a test of my abilities, I tried adding three wonders, 5 yr plan, Area 51 and EU. I am doing this all in a scenario folder so that I don't have to alter the original files.

I pasted the icons in below the Knights's Templar icon and in pediaicons.txt, I have 5yr as #83, Area 51 as# 84 and EU as #85. When they appear in the game, the 5 yr plan has the forbidden city icon and the other two have no icons.

Ukas tutorial says to put them under the spaceship components, but there are icons under the spaceship components. Should I insert spaces under the spaceship or is that part of the tutorial just not updated from original Civ3?

Also, what do the numbers in pediaicons.txt mean? Are they reference numbers to tell the game where in the buildings-large.pcx to find the specific icon?

Last question: Is it ok to increase the size of the buildings-large.pcx file and if so, what are the constraints?

Thank you

Ukas tutorial is from vanilla civ I think. You have to add new icons below templar knights.

The number in the pediaicons tells the program which icon it shall use, templar knight got the #81 so the first building you add get's #82. I have no idea why the wrong or no icon appear in game for you, but did you put the buildings-large and the altered peidaicons in the same scenario folder?

You can add as many rows at the end of the graphic as you want.

I figured it out. I had to skip a space below the Templar icon. I started the numbering at 83 like on the tutorial, so that may account for the space requirement. Oh well. Doesn't matter why it works, as long as it does.

Thanks for the help.
