Bulbing guilds

Hi,

I soon finish feudalism (10T) and have a GM comming in 17 turns. How much points does the GM grant towards Guilds, i'm guessing about 1000 RP. So i need to invest about 500RP myself in it.

Hope this knight rush gets me somewhere :D.
 
I would self-tech guilds and do a trade mission with the GM, then upgrade some HA to knights. Better bang for your buck because the RP from a great person do not get the multipliers from libraries and academies.

I never bulb guilds with my knight rushes, too many techs you have to get first to make that work, I do often bulb machinery with a GS which is a pretty good deal ( 1300 beakers or so ).
 
The cash from a trade mission is a lot more flexible. It will pay for a 100% slider to get guilds finished (and not much slower than bulbing it, probably), you can use it to upgrade units for a faster stack like AZ said, you can use it to keep your research rate decent during and after war, or you can use it to fund a big espionage rate if you want to go knights+spies.
