Isn't one bush bashing thread enough?

Ok, we all know Bush is an idiot. So what? Let's see how he is doing in a year. He might be a good president. The people choosed him, now they're stuck with him. He might even turn out to be a good president, I don't think it can't get worse than Carter.

Stop posting topics like this. It makes no sense and it pisses people off.

Typical.
Everybody always bash current President.
All were roasting Clinton when he left.
Oh how the worm has turned.
Down the road it will be the same with Bush.
"We want Bush back!

You couldn't pay me enough to be the head of a government.
Could never put up with the whining hypocrites.

Why am I repling to this?? Someone who couldn't vote in my country wants a poll on:

Bush is an Idiot & who wants Clinton back?

I guess I could start a topic called:

Are all Belgiums morons?

But I will not.

Why because

(1.) I know this not to be true.

(2.) I respect their country.

(3.) I would look like a moron.

(4.) I'm not a citzen of Belgium.

I may then not live in America ,The us-president has a big influence in european politics.
I'm sorry that i'm breaking off youre president ,it's just my oppinion.
Clinton was a blessing for europe ,bush isn't.

Well your blessing is over. Clinton is gone and will not be back. As for you being sorry, I'm sure you are.

Actually, that is incorrect. The people didn't choose Bush. More people voted for Gore than Bush. The supreme court appointed bush by a 5-4 vote down party lines is what it boiled down to.

As for this topic: I don't think bush is an idiot. I think he is a conniving evil man who will bring this country to it's knees if he gets all that he wants.

I don't want Clinton back, he was a good president, one of the best we have had, but the republican party has successfully tarnished him and he would not be able to do a good job anymore.

So I don't want either Bush or Clinton; I want Gore! Guess I will have to wait and see if he will run again in the next election. I hope he does. Historically, when a president has won by a non-majority vote they have been soundly defeated by the same opponent in the next election.

That is if we make it to another election...

I agree in a far extent with borderpatrol.
Didn't know it would be so hard for Clinton to come back as a president.

So Gore would be a better alternative than Bush.
But the best alternative then would be Ralph Nader to my oppinion.

Actually the Electoral College put Bush in office. All the supreme court did was stop recounts. Facts my friend.

Yes he was one of the best, right behind R.Reagon.

Three years and we will know.

They're both god damn morons! I don't want either of them. When I'm pres, I'm going to make a law preventing poeple from Arkansas and Texas from running for presisdent.

I didn't say that the Supreme court put him in office, I said that is what it boiled down to. If they hadn't stopped the recount it would have continued going in Gore's favor like it had been and he would have won Florida which would have given him the electoral votes he needed. Also, if they had just thrown Florida out because it was uncertain then Gore would have had more electoral votes then too. Those are the facts.

In my humble opinion, Bill Clinton did more damage to the presidency than any other president in history. Scandal after scandal after scandal.

As far as the election goes, if you count anything as large as the American popular vote a million times, you will get a million different results. Bush won, he is the president of the USA now, so stop yer whining & get your (the democrats) revenge in a few years.

Your quote...

Now did you not just say the supreme court appointed Bush. What it boils down to is you think the supreme court appointed Bush. The facts are in the records of the court that the supreme court stopped the recount.

That's the facts. Your opinion of how the count would have went is your opinion. Not Facts.

(sigh) Ok. More Clinton bashing.
The only thing he did was lie about something that shouldn't have been asked.
As far as his job performance, I did well during his terms of office.
Much better than during George Sr.'s
Unemployment at all time low (without war), national deficit paid off ( a thing thought impossible), and interest rates on homes the lowest in decades.

You people need to stick with Civ, or something else you may POSSIBLY have an inkling of what you're talking about.
Clearly, the efectiveness of politicians isn't one of them.

Who would have won the presidential election is a relative thing. I read an article a month or so ago by a group of florida reporters who researched the punch card results.

If they would have counted every vote by a clear and complete punch through the card, like Bush wanted, then Al Gore would have won by a few hundred votes. On the other hand, if they had counted by "voter intent" -a dimpled chad or whatever stupid other names they thought of- like Gore had wanted, then Bush would have won by about a thousand votes.

Not like it really matters anyway; they all work for the system.

Actually the the US supreme court vote was 9-0 that the FLA supreme court violated the law, 7-2 that the violation was sufficient under the constitution for the US supreme court to intervene and make judgment, and 5-4 only with regard to the specific remedy that the recount stop on the deadline for for selecting uncontestable electors. If the election had remained in doubt beyond and anyone filed a contest then the rep/demo slate of elector would have been certified by the congress in a vote (in a tiered process)by which the republican would have the majority. In NO CASE would there be no FLA electors. And for those of you that cannot read, if the recount had been conducted the way gore had ask and had been ruled by the crooked FLA supreme court Bush would have won; Gore would have to have change the rules yet again in another suit (to count double marked ballots) to win.
As for Bush's intelligence the only quantitative unbiased standard we currently have available, his SAT score in the 1200s, shows a superior intelligence.

Q: for SlowwHand: Who was the only president in history to be found guilty of contempt of court?

A: Bill Clinton

Here is the federal judge's (Susan Weber Wright) own words... "The president responded to plaintiff's questions by giving false, misleading and evasive answers that were designed to obstruct the judicial process."

He was fined $90,000.00

Big damn deal.
I find the court, and all involved, in contempt.
Not going down this road again.
You want to be stupid, be stupid.
You have the right.
It's no longer simple ignorance, since you've been informed.
It now drifts into stupidity.
