Bush's Speech

He's trying to reassure people, not make attacks without first building a case.

Give it time. They shall be avenged.

Yes. You forgot to say "and elected by almost half the American people".

Would you rather have that tree hugging pansy Gore in charge? I think not!!!!

HI guys.<br />I am not American (I was born in Poland and now I live in Australia) so I do not know much about politics in USA, but I get this feeling that Bush is not a good leader (I do not swear at people). His face is clueless. I am sorry if some of Americans will be upset by my post, but that guy has no idea! PLease tell me if I am wrong!!! Do you think he is a good president???

Bush is a good president. He will do the right thing in the situation. I agree with jml 63 too. Gore wouldn't have done well with making the right decisions.

Your not wrong. Bush isn't a good leader.

More people voted for Gore, but because of the Electoral Collage, Bush won. I don't think Bush has the balls to do anything. He could prove me wrong, and I hope he does. But that's the impression I get.

I wouldn't want to see Nader in this situation....I think that would be funny!!

Anyway....

Ah bush ,or Gore? I dont like them both.

Anyway ,this is not a task that will be handled by Bush ,but for his advisors and the pentagon. (who will probably make it an Honour-case)

anyway ,people like Bush don't lead youre country ,but the ones that work for him.they make the decisions.I don't like those guys much neither.<br />I don't like the general republic (or "democratic") ways.

As Bill Hicks once said:<br />"Our democratic system is the choice of the lesser of two evils."<br />But the US still didn't get the lesser evil it chose. <br />I'm sorry, in fact Bill Hicks said "Our so called democratic system...."<br />To be serious though, I can't see what any good leader could have done. If Bush was some kind of crazy dictator then the US would be at war now. Thank God for the greater of two evils for once.

This topic just proves my growing racistical thoughts about brainless-warmonger americans. <img src="icon9.gif" border="0">

America isn't going to make a fast retaliation only to calm down the ppl. They are not idiots like the Israeli goverment.

Give them some time.

Racistical? RACISTICAL??? How about Stupidical!!!

How exactly are the Israelies idiotz!!?! You try being attacked from 5 or 6 countries at once (six day war) and not be VERY aggressive in your defense even to the point of being offensive for defense. Most of us here play civII and go nutz when we are attacked, shouldn't the U.S. be even MORE aggressive in defense of it's self in the real friggin' world!!!!!!!!!!1

I do think he's weak. He doesn't know how to handle the situation he's been. Actually, he is just dumb. But nevertheless I think that the people behind him are good enough to deal with the current situation. The USA is sophisticated enough to make sure all the nescessary steps (cleaning the remains, taking care of wounded and survivors, searching the assassins, hunt them down) can be done by all the people around him, leading him.

I too fear I'm making some people upset. But...just don't be and tell me if and why I'm wrong.

I'm probably the most conservative person on these forums, and I support Bush 110%.

You can't possibly just go around attacking the suspects, we need to find hard evidence before we attack.

Personally, I think Usama Bin Laden is slime, and I'd be more than happy to shoot him or anyone that's even thought of supporting him.

There were people here in Denver COLORADO celebrating like what was shown on tv... Now I ain't all that patriotic, but if I see that again, here where I live in MY country, I will probably be arrested for assault. Simple as that. <br />I don't know about Bush being a wimp or not, what he said wasn't full of ballsiness, but like it's been said before, it has to be done correctly.

Don't worry. You not alone. You may be the most conservative person, but I'm the second most conservative person. I'm with Bush all the way, too.

Clinton could probably handle this well, and right now, I'm VERY happy Al Gore isn't president, (more than usual in fact).

I concur....I voted for Bush primaraly(spelling) because of his proposalz on defense and a strategic missle defense system.... i also agree that pres. Clinton would have done fine in this situation as well...ah what to do, what to do....a faceless enemy.....the only thing left i supose is to punish (in various wayz) all countries who support and harbor terrorists....this will probably come to a sad unfulfilled end...just as our pursuit of one Pancho Via in North Mexico befor WWI did...another single powerful man...like a needle in a hay stack....
