The year was 1850ad. After successfully deploying 50 modern infantry to a different continent to destroy the Persians (because they had a embargo against me, and this was where i was getting my uranium) I was living good and enjoying a time of peace for maybe a hundred years. I glance at the victory screen and notice something....Babylon, my technological partner, had snuck up 9 parts of the space ship built. Now, i dont built space parts...just dont like it, its not my thing. But i can't get beat like this...just can't....
Because i had been trading techs for alot of gpt from virtually every other civ, i was rollin in the gold. I did some espionage and found the city where babylon had the last peice to be built....and it was going to be done in 10 turns...gotta act fast! Safely, i sabataged production which was successful. Again i investigate the city and see that it was only pushed back 5 turns?!?!
What do i do? Nuke em? make the world go to war against me? No, there has to be another way...
I take another look at babylons land. Isolated...big land, he musta have a great time expanding in the ancient era.....
I knew this would be risky, but i had to do something. I switched every coastal city's production to transports, a few carriers and 1 or 2 battleship.
The internal city's productions were switched to modern armors, stealth bombers, cruise missles, a few marines to take out workers near the shorelines, and modern paratroopers.
Rushed them all, rinse and repeat.
Now i had 13 turns to take out this spaceship part...so i started sending over the carriers, then the transports...espionage....sabatage production....fail! Argh....
it would take 10 turns to reach the coastline. I really didnt have much time.
D-Day
I finally got there, 3 turns left. After 2 failed sabatage attempts i figured i might as well try another, cuz we bout to battle anyway. SUCCESS! pushed it back to 8 turns!
ARGH! I take a look at his land again to see radar towers EVERYWHERE! I didnt know if i could get it done in 8 turns, but i only had to take that one city.
Now you might say taking out a continent isnt hard with 69 modern infantry, some 25 sealth bombers, 8 marines, 8 paratroopers, and 20 cruise missiles....but those radar towers make things tough.
So, just for the chuckles i sent over a diplo-request and demanded that he give me the city where he was building the space part....mayeb 25 times....till he was real furious. then, i declare war.
the first couple stealth bombers did the trick to the mech infantry at the radar tower. Send in the paratrooper to take out the tower. Now for the city....cruise missle after cruise missile tearing apart his city. Then the bombers.....tearing his city to peices. He really should have given me that city.
Then i deploy and take the city. The resistance is done in 1 turn because of my mass troops so i rush an airport and the following turn send over 30 mech infantry units (2 for every city that i willl capture)
I waited, waited to see what he was going to do....Are you gonna attack?! Huh? Do something...the world is watching you!
Then i see it, a stack of modern armor coming to the newly captured city. Not big, and i wasnt scared, just let him attack! But first....
Theres those bombers again....oh? i have a few cruise missiles lefT? here....your stack can have them!
In one turn his whole offensive was decreased to have the size it was. Then, he still wants to attack!!!
He comes with it and get trampled, i dont lose one unit.
With no offense, i might as well take out the rest of the radar towers and continue on.
I did him the same way i do all my enemies....cut through the middle of the empire. This separates it into 2 halves and it cannot fight back as well without fital strategic resources.
One city left, here i go....next turn babylon will be nothing....oh wait?! ohhhhh man.........no you just didnt!!!
He sends over the last of his nukes.....lukily, my SDI was working well and defended all, but one.....
So that gives me reason to nuke him, but i wont, I just nicely take out his last city and take his workers.
Im smiling at my computer desk....but what do i see next turn?!?THE OTTOMANS FINISHED A SPACE SHIP!!!! ARGH!!!!!
