C2C - UEM - Ultimate-Earth-Map 100% MOD and SVN update compatible by Pit2015

7 citys with about -3 gold for city number maintenance = 7 * 3 = 21/22 not 220 it added a 0 so bug. Hundered times more maintenance as displayed in city screen for city number maintenance.

Where are you showing how much city maintenance should be to come up with -3 gold for number of city maintenance?

It didn't add a 0, it added 199. Very big difference. If it would've rounded, it would've rounded down. That's how code works.

You have 7 cities and you aren't out of prehistoric yet it looks like. I would imagine that should be a pretty crushing amount of # city maintenance according to the new maintenance amounts Joe setup. I'm suspecting that if there is a display error, the error is in wherever you are reading -3 gold per city for #city maintenance. Where is that being shown?

Yep normaly 22 the bug adds a 0 and makes 220, also its not a display bug its taking 220 gold from my treasury, so is a calculation bug. Wait i make a screenshot where you can see it...

Ok look the screenshots should be 22 not 220 in city you see 2,75 maintenance for number of citys... let me know when you fix that then i can continue my game without getting bankrupt. And if you changed the city number maintenance to 10/100 times higher that sucks. ;)

The city screen shows one of your cities. Do they all say it's 2.75 for maintenance for number of cities? And does the maintenance for distance to capital add up if you add each city's maintenance together?
I suspect the problem is a display issue on the city's maintenance for number of cities display and that the national amount is correct. The intention has been to make gold much harder. With as many cities as you have that early, I would expect a player to have to process production into gold in a city or two to survive.

Other stuff is distance from palace, correctly calculated and displayed, you see it in the city screenshot also, i already have two citys on production gold... yep all citys have 2.75 city number maintenance. Hmm but where is the building maintenance? Maybe added up in city number display?

Yep looks like the city building maintenance is missing, maybe its calculated into the city number display?

Edit: Nope if i count city number maintenance for my 7 citys + building maintenance i get -64 gold for it not -220... something completly wrong here also no building maintenance for citys calculatete at all in financial main display.

Very likely. I would tally up the total of building and # of city maintenance in each city and see if that comes close to matching the national count for # of city maintenance.

It's been known for a while that the national maintenance display doesn't show everything, including the end total being adjusted by global % modifiers, as Joseph mentioned. The city shows the base but the national then shows the AFTER modified totals based on underlying game XML. This is not a bug as much as it is a display issue as it fails to break things down so you can completely audit how you get to your final numbers. Many factors aren't even shown anywhere at all.

I've been working on so many other things but it would be nice to be able to get a better breakdown so the player can completely audit. This would help to make bug reports, when they come in, reliable.

Its a misscalculation, not a display problem. Building maintenance is not calculated at all and city number maintenance is 10 times to high.

What happens is the game totals the city numbers you see, THEN global modifiers take effect. These may multiply the end result by 10 or more depending on gamespeed, map size, difficulty level, etc... Those causes for adjustment are not calculated into each individual display in the city, nor are they shown to exist to the player before they are calculated into the final totals... but they are. These modifiers are real and they do exist and for good reason.

So yes, it is a display issue, not a final result being inaccurate. The display is failing to tell you all the reasons the final number gets to be where it's at. Both on the city screen and the final, there is not enough information being delivered to the player is all.

Still a bug or sucks to increase the city number maintenance by 1000%. ;) But i agree, more display in the financial overview is needed.

It's not so bad in the big picture. If you had been operating under these new modifiers from the beginning you'd have grown in a manner that respected the financial hit each city was causing rather than overextending as you would have inadvertently done here in an easier financial environment. We have struggled to make gold challenging and it sounds like we finally have got the balance on target for now.

Bear in mind, too, that this means that any choices that reduce #of city maintenance are now more valuable and meaningful.

Yep making gold harder is fine, but its killing older games again. I will try to remove a city letz see how many gold i can save then. And display the city number cost correctly if possible.

Ok removing a city saved me 23 gold so its a display problem.

With some changes i can continue my old game now, i removed some units and stuff. Good to see that you increased the research times on ethernal game speed again.

My old game still works fine now with some changes, nice to see dancing adding one missing myth after the other. ;)

Ok Dancing. ;)

You did now a savegame breaking change? Updated and tryed to load my savegame and CTD... when will version S36/S37 be finished to start a long game?

EDIT: Ok tryed to start the scenario as new game, same thing... its no longer working, CTD on loading, i saw theres a problem in BUG thread... savegame still work if this is fixed?

Tell me a way to start a long game, not always to restart for a new game, any possible way to do this actually???? I never researched all techs. ;) I never hit modern era...

No way to save the savegames but there SHOULD somehow be a way to save the scenarios in notepad. I'm just not 100% sure how. I'll try to take a look later.
