BUG/PROBLEM:

Neanderthal clubman should have the same stats as neanderthal warrior? (Can attack without declaring war)

You realized it only NOW, loool?
Not sure it's a bug or a feature, though.
I mean, it's LOGICALLY an obvious bug, but it COULD be a strategy CHEAT as well, somehow.
Ya know, weed out the defenses with "Barb" units, then swoop on the final kill with a "normal" unit to capture the city, loool.
Would be FUNNY, even if somewhat probably WASN'T intended to work like this.
OR WAS IT, LOL?

"Not sure it's a bug or a feature, though." Me too but it is reported now. :goodjob:

Correction to what I said:
DON'T take the city with a "normal" unit.
Just "Barb" it till it goes Barb, THEN capture it "from the Barbs".
That's it - no WAR declared, and you still get the CITY.
LOOOL!!!

Note: This is only good for expansion for the sake of expansion. This is BAD, if you want to steal Techs from a more advanced Civ, since you won't GET any this way.

The only thing I learn from videos like this is just how oblivious and ignorant of the rest of the world americans are. Also, those are at best mediocre looking, post war replica industrial cities for european standards, if those look impressive what's an 800 years old french or italian borough gonna look like?

Also not in the video: WW2 debt forgiveness, full control of the ECB policies, cheap imports of key parts for their core industry from nearby countries with just the same quality level but much lower standards of living such as Italy and Belgium, and the advantage of close by cheap workforce and straight up delocalization in Poland and Hungary for the car industry. All thanks to the single market. By the way, their massive export surplus breaks EU treaties and rules, they've been in violation for decades, but they answer to no one - they're above the rules.

So Malti from wich country are you? :) And what made you select Bismarck? Yeah he has to look Burg Eltz and other stuff, but i think he is doing that in another video...

I'm from Italy, though I've lived in Spain too. As for Bismarck, I've always been deeply fascinated by northern europe, by german efficiency, the blood and iron, the prussian discipline, the technical superiority... but as I age I'm getting more and more skeptical of their self proclaimed moral superiority / debt is a sin lifestyle / it's all business attitude.

To put it short, the wealth of a nation is determined by materialistic, socioeconomic factors, not by cultural factors and the "fiber" of the people. After all, we've seen all kinds of cultures and people rising up to the state of empires and/or economic powerhouses throughout history. Today's lazy italians used to be the richest people in europe 400 years ago. Even the most morally abhorrent, culturally backwards people could become the first economy in the world, given the right circumstances... like Saudi Arabia, or Texas.

Fun facts: in the 60s the italian lira was awarded the "most stable currency" award by the financial times. Italy was on the rise, there were two germanies, and the world was a whole lot different. In the 80s we briefly overcame the UK as the 6th economy of the world with some accounting tricks since we were ruled by crooks. Inflation was killing us and we resorted to borrowing. Even so, up 'till the early 2000s we were solidly within the G8 economies range. 2008 hit hard, 2011 hit harder. It was a debt crisis with a central bank only focused on preserving currency stability.

We had to print 500.000 denomination bills, which were worth something like 500 marks or so. Then the euro came. Now, financially we're a derelict laughing stock, the butt of the joke. We actually have had a "primary surplus" for years, which means that before debt interests are deducted we make a net gain - but we got to pay that interest, absolve our sin as it is in the eyes of the northern europeans. The central bank could do what central banks do and effectively make that debt interest amount to 0, like Japan, but then we would not pay for our past sins, and our neighbours can't stand the idea of it. The idea that we could come out of a spending binge scot free through accounting makes them red with bile for some reason. They'd rather see us fail and bring them down with us. Culture is weird.

Fortunes come and go very rapidly - if I had to bet on a country's economic future right now, my money would not be on Germany, or Italy for that matter, or anyone in europe in fact.
Still, I definitely appreciate Bismarck much more than Cavour - in my eyes, Germany united itself, Italy was made to unite by foreign interests through what was effectively a french client state.

Or Egypt or Babylon. Not Inca, though (that would be more like 800 years - or did you mean Caral or Valdivia?).

how to instal this map/mod?
This is just a scenario map.
Download it and put it into your Civ's game folder's (NOT My Documents or anything like that) Mods/Caveman2Cosmos/PrivateMaps, where there are other maps already.

Side note to the modders:
I think you should include this scenario in the "official release" package, lol, it's really worth it.
