No! Too low!

Why the persistent drive for a border? Within a relatively short time span we should have a better idea of the current land mass to make an informed decision. We should wait before making this border... Its not as if any known resources are at issue or that either team is quickly running out of room to grow.

I'd like to know what Bremp has to say on the matters. I don't have as much trust in Joker as I did in Bremp. If someone does not explain the reason, doubts are very likely. May be they are going to build ToA? And with settler factory, they may be running our of space indeed, especially considering these mountains in the north. Well, Emp. can always say that the vote was inconclusive and we decided to wait before making eny decision.

I only meet Bremp once, and from what I saw he was not doing that much in the diplomancy with us. I trust Joker, a lot more then that Bremp guy, but Brmep doesn't matter anymore, he is now some internal minister. Joker is the President on Turn 76, and we will have to deal with him.

So far, it's an overwhelming no. I also feel that it's too low. Can someone post a full map so we can see how it compares to everything?

Compared to everything it is actually OK. As I have already told a few times, the region would be utterly corrupt for us as well as C3B. Unless there are horses there (and this neither us nor they do not know), I don't see any particular reason to set a border here IMHO. Their stubbornness regarding this issue is that what bothers.

We don't know how much room they have, but it looks like they have a lot more than we have on our continent (not counting the CDZ island groucho). But once we know the whole continent we can reset the border. They're trustworthy enough. So I voted yes. Keep 'em happy and naive. :p

Akots, where are you thinking we build our (less useful) forbidden palace?

IMHO, TF would be the best candidate. I would even try to jump the Palace there with a leader if we have one and build FP in Zoi which might help to cover a part of the iron island from corruption. TF is centrally located and has enough shields to afford FP. But the situation can change.

But on a serious note, I do think it is too south, and seeing as this will not pass I will need a counter proposal. I would like to see that mountain in the area (I wanna name it Mt. Zues or something like that) as our border. Thoughts?

Edit: 1,000 Post :bday:

@Emp. If you can just politely negotiate with them over and over again without polling or voting on the subject. Something like "We want another week to discuss. Here is what we decided to offer." (Moving it slightly north). Then, they would need a couple of weeks to settle the dispute. And so on. Hence, the border gets never established and in the end... C3B with their settler factory settles the whole area. Joke. We would be doing much better in Monarchy or Republic with agricultural trait. :)

That is exactly what I want to avoid, I want to finish it now, not later.

But if we say "okay" to this border, I forsee any future attempt to move the border north will sour our relationship with C3B. Joker'll just tilt his head, form a smug smile, and say, "But you agreed to the first border. We've been very nice to you, but now you're being unfair to us. Why CFC?"

WHy all of the anti-Joker stuff :p

Yes I agree that they will probaly do that.

Then you say "But we only agreed because it could be changed afterwards. We already thought before that you'd probably have more land than us with this border, and we've only been proved right.

Now who's being unfair here?"

Or something like that. :crazyeye:

We should drive the border north to taht mountain and marshland, and make that a defensible zone with a minimum of border exposure, and make that useless marshland serve as a buffer. Seizing control over that mountain and making it a key defensive chokepoint may give us that 200 % defensebonus i the center, add a fortress to that, and we may keep the Brazillians in check on the continent at least. placing units behind the river gives an additional 50 % defense bonus. Due to the recent espionage scandal, we may ask fairly for that as a solid border, as it may stabilize tension and minimize expense costs due to the excellent defensive terrain and shorter distance from coast to coast. Anyways, get that mountain for Fanatica.
