Wheres the turn sit ? Last turn I played was on March 17th

I haven't figured this out yet. Some PBEM games I play I get a turn a day. Others are a turn a week and those usually die. I can understand a delay for vacation, work trips etc - life carries on ... but I don't understand these games that crawl along.

We seem to be stuck somewhere between Gnarflinger and Donovan Zoi again.
I am disappointed in this game. When it was posted by Loulong it was listed as "level: experienced ". I signed up thinking that the game would move along pretty good.
I guess not.

Just got the save last night at 10:43 PM central time. Unfortunately, I did not realize this because I had gotten up at 4am this morning and did not get a chance to check my Civ email between my shower and commute.

Lamentably, today was another long one on the job, so I decided to meet the wife for dinner before returning home. Once home, I was compelled to check my work email(since I cannot do that during the day), since my job depends on it. Then, wouldn't you know it....an old friend of mine decided to call just as I downloaded the save. Since I found it a bit rude to ask him to call back because I had a game of Civ to play, I decided to catch up with my friend for 20 minutes or so (or was it 30? who can say?). Finally, I was able to move this game along within 24 hours, or within an hour of having known it existed in my mailbox.

Sorry to have held the game up yet again. My offer to leave still stands if you find I am not experienced enough.

Zoi ... with nearly 4,000 posts I don't think anyone is suggesting you are not experienced. Real life takes priority. I take it then someone else was sitting on the save here if you received it from someone else ?

I had a stretch where I couldn't play my turns for about 5 days. I posted something in the temporary absense thread...

I wasn't sure how long the turn had been waiting for me but it's in my inbox now...

ok I didn't know there was a temporary absense thread. I'll check there from now on. IMHO it would have made more sense to post here in this thread but hey I'm easy not cheap

The temporary thread was established so that someone like me who's in a ton of PBEM games doesn't have to post in each one...

There's probably 6 to 10 that are active with me involved, a couple that i think have died, and one that may restart or have a replacement...

Geeze last time I played this (turn 4) was on March 31. LouLong I think this is yet another statistic.
