GPS, now.

Hi all,

my e-mail says i received the file at 00:37am of Oct. 21. At that time I was sleeping... I only play my games at night, usually after 9 pm, at week days. It is now almost midnight of Oct 22 here. So at least I could played it 3 hours before, but not before that... So, considering this I believe I am not on delay about it. We all must remember that we have different times zones, and also sometimes are e-mail delays concerning sending the file from one server to other e-mail server. So at least 24h is acceptable before start looking to the file, in my opinion.

No problem, GPS !

@lietkynes, I am currently playtesting this one on Emperor as Carthage if you
ever want any advice or such I'd be glad to help ;) . I've also closely
studied :coffee: previous SGs of the scenario. I don't know why I was
initially drawn to Carthage, it must be the War Elephants! :mischief: Rome
and Persia can become real NASTY, especially in human hands  .
Great fun all the way!

Nothing new... only a few internal issues.
Macedonia, just in case you didnt notice, you have a spear on my land...

Ps.: Hey guys I think is required that we all post here our achievements for each turn, like our atacks, which units we kill or lost, which city we takes, and so long... I am not experience in pbem but loulong can explain it to us...

have fun

turn 2 is complete, sent to kingstuart

...I don't have any spears. Also, we're at war, so I'm not sure what issue you're highlighting here.

right, not a spear, a hoplite...
And yes, of course we are at war... but i notice that your hoplite near cyzus has his energy tab yellow.. so probably you engaged in war with some units of mine... I think is required in a pbem game we all tell wich units we atack and the results of that fight...(if I am wrong, that is ok with me anyway)...
:smoke:

Yes, I probably did kill a unit last turn, sorry. I think you have all the information though, so it shouldn't be a problem. Also we should stop discussing this stuff in an open forum... PM or e-mail me ;) (I'll be sending all my battle reports via e-mail. They're mostly with Persia for the time-being, so they'll just go with the save :)).

No soup for you! Sent!!!

No prob. at all, really! :goodjob:

But again,
i am a newbie in pbem styles, but in others games that i am, with some experient pbem players, they post the results for every battle in forum, not private by e-mail... for instance, go see here:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=101455&page=3

so, i think is supposed we also post it in public here,,, no need to be private...
anyway, my intention is just to clarify the rules, mean no problem whatever will be the style we follow...

I guess I don't really mind posting them publicly, but it seems counter-intuitive. Why should Rome and Carthage know of the exploits of our battles? I think it would help them out. What if, at some point, you post something like, '6 hoplites killed two tiles north of Thebes'? Rome might say to itself, 'hmmm, perhaps it would be a good time to send landing parties to Sparta and Delphi...'. In any case, I can't prevent you from posting the info, just that you might want to consider your own situation's weaknesses.

BTW, what unit attacked the hoplite, and how much damage did it suffer?

You need to inform at least the player(s) you had a battle with.
Now whether you want to make it public or not is up to you.

Sometimes it allows some PBEM bragging which is, IMHO, part of the fun but no everybody has to agree on that.

ok pb2000 i can accept we keep it one-one... no prob with that. Answer your question (and that woulkd be last time i post here the results, but i am too lazy now to open the e-mail to answer the following, so this time ill answer it here):
1 immortal... and he lost one bar only... i think.

Now that I anwser I have another question, for Lou: we have to tell wich unit atack and what was our damage?

Damage ? not really. Who attacked ? Not really either (except if the unit attacking was killed of course).
It can be useful in more modern PBEMs including planes, ships and fast troops but here it is not very important.
