C3C PBEM: TOS4 Musashi

This PBEM is named after the Japanese Battleship Musashi in WW2.

The IJN BB Musashi was as fearsome as its famous sister ship, the Yamato. Armed with 3 - 18.1" guns in triple configuration, it was one of the mightiest ships ever fielded in WW2.

This PBEM will be the 4th one-on-one showdown between aksully and me.

The Japanese are wearisome of the Western nation's use of oil as a weapon of foreign policy. The Militaristic faction in the Imperial court has ousted the peace prime minister Konoye and installed Tojo to lead Japan into prosperity. War is declared on the allies.

Singapore Front:
- IJN infantry brigades kill 11th Indian div and 9th Indian div after bombardment
- IJN armies take airfield NW of Singapore. 8th Australian div killed with NI army.
- BB Prince of Wales, BC Repluse, and 1 DD sunk by air and sea

Burma Front:
- NI div attacks Rangoon and kills 1 inf div. Rangoon captured.

Central China Front:
- heavy artillery bombs Chinese inf in fortress E of Ichang. NI div kills Chinese inf.
- bombers cut road S of Ichang
- NI div attacks Hong Kong. Killed 2 inf brigades after ship and arty bombardment. Hong Kong captured.

Philippines Front:
- SNLF makes landings in North Luzon. Killed 1 militia. 2 planes destroyed on the airfield.

Pearl Harbour:
- the sneak attack on Pearl Harbour was outrageously successful. Kates and Vals are able to sink all 8 BB situated outside the harbour.

The BBs were parked outside of Pearl Harbour. Without the assistance of the Flak unit in the city, your ships had little protection against the Japanese planes. Also, Zeroes got in some lucky hits.

Philippines Front
- IJA NI div army storms Manila and destroys the remnants of the American garrison. Killed 1 light tank and 1 militia. Manila captured.
- With the help of the IJN bombardment, expeditionary forces attempted to dislodge the defenses at Corrigador. The IJA loses 1 NI, 1 light tank but manages to kill the static defense. Heavy artillery captured.

Central China Front
With massed troop and air formations, there was very little for Chinese to defend themselves...
- Heavy artillery brings down Ichang walls
- Kates damages KMT army in Ichang.
- Kates damages Chinese inf in fortress next to Ichang
- IJA army kills Chinese inf in fortress
- IJA army engages and kills KMT army
- No less than 12 planes bombarded Ichang. Lost 1 Val to flak. All units inside Ichang are 3 or less HP left.
- IJA armies, NI divisions and brigades managed to kill 9 Chinese infantry, 2 field artillery, 1 flak, and 1 cannon. Ichang captured. Nearby biplane in airfield was destroyed on the ground.
- IJA troops surged forward and spots a US trained infantry division. Bettys redlined the unit and while the IJA lost 1 NI brigade, the second one manages to kill the division.
- IJA bombers destroys more roads in China. Lost 1 zero to P40 near Chengdu

Indonesia Front
- IJN ships attack Dutch blockage near Singapore. Sunk 2 subs and 1 DD. Lost 1 DD.
- Palembang bombarded by ships and planes. Destroyed 1 biplane on the ground. Units were also injured.
- IJN CA manages to sink a sub S of Menado
