I have been having trouble with MapFinder, in which the ".set" and ".jpg" files are always there, but the ".sav" file sometimes isn't. Moonsinger has been helpful but hasn't solved the problem. Now it seems MapFinder is not the problem
Yesterday I was playing Civ3 Conquests, and saved my game in the regular Civ3\Conquests\Saves folder with a name like "123456 1300 BC.sav", my usual style, with 123456 referring to the MapFinde iteration number. The program didn't complain. Then I looked and the file was not saved anywhere on the computer. Tried again. Same result. Tried again, same name, but to the Civ3\Conquests\Saves\Auto folder. This worked.
There is plenty of room on the drive, it's not very fragmented, and the Saves folder has under 100 files in it.
This behavior is erratic; sometimes it happens, other times everything is normal.
Any wild guesses? Have others seen this behavior?
