It's not the antivirus, is the firewall. It open when a connection is made, or something ugly and green is trying to enter your Pc...heh
I do not even notice it anymore. Usually it is at the far right of the screen but Civ resizes the resolution and for some reason it ends up there. And yes, it is the firewall and I enjoy a permanent ADSL connection

I've got the same firewall....I've got cable connection, and if you likem that half blue simbol, can go away, there is an option there..

Too bad you couldn't take more of their cities before destroying them by regiside...
Also, I just made an ROP with the Byzantines, and went on to the Abbasids, took them over, and brought in some relics.

That was basically my plan.... Until the Byzantines decided to attack my outposts on Cyprus and Crete. Overseas was no option with those aggressive Dromon swarms, so I decided to go over land, starting in Western Greece. The defeat of France earlier in the game was much heavier than the journey to Constantinopel.
In the end I did not need the march to Jerusalem because the last Byzantine city increased VP's to +31.000
