Call to Power II problem

I just recently got the urge to play some CtP:2 and dug out my CD and installed it on my PC (XP). It installed no problemo. Running it, however, was a different matter. All that would happen is that the screen would go black, then I'd get an error message just saying that the program encountered an error and needed to close. As a test I installed it on a Vista and it worked without a single problem. However, I'd like to get this installed on my desktop. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can provide more information if a specific request is made.

Chimera, I just got out an old copy an installed it on my XP desktop and it is working fine. The problem that you describe is sometime associated with compatibility problems - you may have to tweak the settings by right-clicking on the desktop shortcut or program icon, select 'Properties' and then the 'Compatibility' tab. It is sometimes as simple as changing the colours or screen resolution - this might be causing a clash with your video card. Good luck!
