Calling all patch wizards

I know this is in the wrong thread but I need an answer fast, so please forgive me. I've installed 64 bit Windows 7 over 32 bit Vista, If anyone has done this you know I need to re-install EVERYTHING including my drivers, but here's my question.

I've figured out I need to install the Civ 4 1.61 patch before I install the Civ 4 1.74 patch. I'm going to install BTS next. Do I need to install all those patches in order too?

Even though its the wrong forum, you'll get an answer

You can install Civ 4 Vanilla and BTS. The BTS disc will detect/update whats needed by itself (the patches are on the disc).

If you want to play scenarios from the "Warlords" expansion, then you need to install that, but if you just want to play regular games, then civ4 vanilla + BTS is enough (when we bought "warlords" we payed for something, we would have gotten anyway through BTS).

So the only thing you need to update, is the BTS version when that is installed.

You may find it helpful to install 3.17 before you install 3.19. It's not essential but some people have found that it helps 3.19 to install sucessfully. As ori said, admin rights are important. Right click on the patch and choose run as administrator.
