Can I change a thread title?

I've been helping gael convert some graphics he's created into leaderhead animations for Civ3 and posting the finished product in the Graphics Modpack Forum. The original post was made almost a month ago and he recently asked me if I could change the title from "Atlantic Archipelago Static Leaderheads" to something a bit more generic and easier to recognize so people understood that they could be used in a broader variety of scenarios. So, I edited the post and changed the Subject: line to "3-D European Leaderheads (STATIC and Era-Specific) " with the green "proud" icon. The small bold text at the top of the first post changed, but the actual thread title didn't even though I thought I had seen other posters change their titles before.

So, my question is, can a user change the title of his/her thread? Is there some kind of time limit involved? And, if it can be changed, how would one go about doing it?

Just PM a Mod and they can do that for you.

If you have just posted the thread only a few moments ago, then the thread titlke and first post title will still be cojoined, but after a few minutes, the thread title becomes permanent from a user access perspective.

Since cracker just said the same as I did while typing this, I'll just add the time limits that TF once posted:

Time limit on editing of thread title: 300
Specify the time-limit (in minutes) within which the thread-title may be edited by the thread starter.

Time to wait before starting to display 'edited by...': 3
Time limit (in minutes) to allow user to edit the post without the [edited by xxx] message appearing at the bottom of the post.
