I'm a relative new player to civilization. I played a few games on the easiest level to start and to learn the game. Now I advanced to monarch to try that level.

I play on the largest map with 1 big continent and 1 smaller continent. I distroyed 1 civ and 2 other civ's are my vasal. I have +- 20 cities, the small vasal has 4 cities and the larger one has +- 10 cities.

There are 2 other large civs with each +- 12 cities and not just as advanced as I am. (the other civ's are smaller.) The other large civ's have infantery, SAM-infantery, artillery,... but I have allready the tank, bombers, battleships,..

I have chossen to attack one of these large opponents with a lot of units.
My large vasal shares a border with this opponent. Can I get my vasal to help me with this war? He is not so advanced yet, but what if I give him all my tech so he can also build more powerfull weapons?

Any suggestions?

Your vassal will automatically declare war, so it is probably wise to give him enough techs so he can at least defend himself if they share a border.

I try always arrange things (religion, civics) so that other would hate my vassal. Then I gift all warring techs to him. Or atleast what might be needed at the time. Only thing I am careful is that my vassal wouldn't capture enemy cities too much to break free. Usually that is not a problem because they loose so much warring with me.

Another thing: you can ask your war allies (whether they are your vassal or not) to attack this or that city in the diplomacy screen. Click on "let's disccuss something else...." I'm not sure how much effect that really has, though...

Is it possible to control a vassal more.
Lets say I give him all my tech/resources he doesn't has. So he can build tanks, bombers, ...
If I declare war to an enemy, he does also. But can i direct him to attack a particular city? Or does he everything his own way?

His own way unfortunately

You can actually direct him to attack a particulary city... though not sure how much it helps..

I thought of directing him to attack a particular city so he can destroy its defences a lot. Then I can take the city with less trouble.
