So, in my current game, I was wiping out DeGaulle, who had Monty as a vassal. But Monty didn't split off until after DeGaulle was willing to capitulate. So, had I taken DeGaulle as a vassal, anyone know what would have happened to Monty?
Or you if you merely clicked him the same turn you capitulated his master.
The cap mechanics are so utterly flawed that if the master has been beat down sufficiently to actually cap while it still has a vassal, you almost certainly have enough power to fold the vassal immediately. Well, I've seen a few exceptions, but they're pretty unusual.
I wonder how the exceptions looked like... you had to beat the master so much that the vassal thought he was doing fine because there were civs (ex master) in much worse position around?
