1- CAN NOT CHOOSE RELIGION:

I play using Custom Game, and Advanced Start, Modern age.
I have selected among other ogtions “Choose Religion”.
Option screen is:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/100907/BTS-options-choose_religion.JPG

After purchasing everything needed, I start the game, change my civics, setup the 1st production of my city, then end the 1st turn.
Immediately, I found a religion, in my case always Taoism. Nothing proposes me to choose a religion in spite having selected the option at start.

The savegame is:

For testing, just end the turn.

(Unfortunately, no saved game for below…)

2- MULTIPLE GOLDEN AGE WITH ! GREAT PERSON:

When playing for the 1st time BTS, at Quick speed, with regular options with the Khmer, I received a great Spy as my 1st Great Person after a few turns.
Not knowing what to do with it, I started a Golden Age (1 G.P. used).
Then, later on in the game, I had another GP. I can't recall what it was... And again, I only needed 1 for starting a Golden Age!! I thought "Great, they changed this in the expansion", and had Golden Ages several times with 1 GP (about 5 or 6 times)... until I was defeated...
In the next game I did and at regular spedd, no such thing: I had to use an increased number of GP as usual!!!
Since then, I do not have experienced the problem but do not play either quick speed (I like marathon…)
Unfortunately, as I thought it was ok with the 1st game, I overwrote my saved games with my new games and can not give any pic, file, or can not reproduce it …
Any one has experienced this before???

3- Trade routes of my vassals cut by cruiser

No saved game also because I was not on my computer…
I play using an advanced start, modern age, radom leaders, random personality, I was Darius.
I used the option "cut the trade routes" on a cruiser, and a few turns later I discovered that it actually cut MY vassals' trade routes!
It should be noted that I just had them capitulating a few turns before and they were still furious. It seems also that the cruiser was carrying on orders received while they were foes, and the AI did not update it properly afterward (a guess, only a guess)

4- Miscellaneous, Minor, not really bug, just annoyances

a- why pointless buildings are still available for building in cities? example, I have built “3 Gorges Dam”, and even the city that built it still proposes coal/hydro/nuclear plants ... if I am not wrong (I hope), building these plants would not bring any bonus, and they should be disabled (especially if the city is under AI) ... until they are needed again (ex.: wonder destroyed or lost...)

b- (not a bug, missing data) when carrying an action in a city with a spy, missing the information related to the available amount of points, within the popup giving choices for actions (cost / total available)

c- (not a bug?), the prescience of some units is annoying and unfair. Example, hen placed in exploring mode a unit seems always to know where are the tribes, even if still placed in the fog of war.

d- (not a bug, unbalanced game) I have the feeling zeppelins are coming way too early in the game. For compensating this archery and gunpowder units should be able to damage them -not destroy - ex: -50% maxi for them. After all, it is only a huge thin envelop...

e- (not a bug, just unpolished graphics) Some small icons of faces are ugly, ex Darius... needs a fix

f- (not a bug, missing data) when starting a game, you have a "welcome screen" with the leader and units. It is possible to see the details for the unit and building and learn about the civilization's specs, but no way to know more about the leader itself (useful when choosing randomly a leader and recalling what he can do...)

g- (not a bug?), are you sure barbarian spearmen and galleys are correctly activated? Up till now, in Warlords and BTS I have found none, and I like to play with ragging barbarians...

h- (not a bug, missing warning) when playing in custom mode, with the advanced start option, modern age, a pop up should come and suggest to turn off some victory modes (ex.: cultural? Spaceship?) as it would be near impossible or not very funny to forget to do it before hand and just play a game where you always race against space ship builders.

I looked at your saved game. Actually your problem is not a bug, because on the next turn, all AI picks up a religion before you, and the only religion left for you is Taoism. (Check the event log)

This is because you are using advanced start i think.

This looks like a "NOT A BUG" and "Choose religion" option is working as intented.

What you say is interresting, and you might be right.
But in this case, there is still a bug and located at another level... I explain:

It is possible that, BECAUSE I use "advanced start" , then some other options are not activated in the game, like the choice for a religion. In this case, the bug lies in the option screen where, like for some other choices, the invalid options should be desabled. Example, when you select "advanced start", it enables the amount of money, and it should then desabled all other options not relevant to the type of game selected...

If what you say is correct, so then the "choose Religion" does NOT work as intended as it is part of a set of options open to players who should not double guess if the option will apply a bit, or totally, or not at all...
Such uncertain options are only misleading, and I doubt it is what Firaxis intended to do...

But thank you for the good idea about the fact that the error perhaps is right at the start, leading to misunderstandings...
