Can ranged unit capture worker?

I always thought this was not possible, kind of annoying had a pathfinder turned comp bow with this problem in a recent game.

Was watching a marbozir lets play on youtube and he was talking about barb archers capturing workers...so is that a barb only thing? Or can i actually cap a worker with my ranged unit?

Yes u can, just select move command as opposed to range attack from unit menu( left hand side of screen) and move archer onto enemy worker, prophet, archeologist etc.

Yes, you can't just right click the cursor onto the worker, otherwise the archer will attack instead of moving to capture.

and shoshone pathfinder upgrades to comp bow with gold also, or only with the ruins?

I think only ruins, they are OP as it is

A common mistake. Declare war first, then give the oder. It's my most common cause of loading an autosave
