Can some one tell me how to make a really long game put have production prices at the same at the speed of a normal game so it makes it so for long interesting wars.

basicly you have to modify the speed settings xml file... \Assets\XML\Gameinfo\CIV4GameSpeedInfo.xml

or you can download one of the several mods that deal with this. I modifyed Epic speed on my mod (in sig) to double the research costs but everything else is like normal so you get long periods in between eras.
