Can YOU find my civ 4 disc?

EDIT: Jarhead, I did find a crucial disk in my fridge once (not Civ tho). Immediately rushed back to the machine to check I hadn't tried to wedge a mini-pizza in the DVD drive...

I have Civ 4 complete and after patching it up to 3.19 via the in-game menu it doesn't ask me for CD soooo chek out if You have BTS 3.19, if not than just borrow civ 4 discs form a friend ->patch up to 3.19-> be sure not to use Your friend's cd's as a beer mat 'else' You don't like him if You don't like him than use Your friend's cd as a beer mat than enjoy BTS 3.19

So you play BTS with the disc? If you were patched to the latest version you wouldn't need the disc.

The latest BTS patch doesn't need the disc to play, so maybe you should try it.

For some reason now i dont need a cd, i use to always need one then oneday for some reason i tried to start it without it and it worked. The only thing i can think of that did it was the better ai mod, that is the only mod i used and it didnt need a cd any more.

I suspect there may be a hint as to the actual reason somewhere upthread.

Patching up to 3.19 is a good temporary fix, but for a permanent one keep an eye out for a Steam or Amazon sale this Christmas season.

Last year Amazon had Civ 4 Complete for $8.99 ($3.99 if you had a $5 off coupon from buying another game). They sell it as a DRM-free download, allowing you to play Vanilla, Warlord, or BTS with no disc or special software.

Hey guys! I lost my Civ 4 Beyond the Sword disc. So sadly I cannot play it until I find it because my computer keeps asking for the CD-ROM.

So lets see if anyone can jog a train of thought for me and help me find it! lol

I have a 3 cabinet stand next to my hamper. The cd was on it and i saw it fall in there one time. I do however think i grabbed it out and put it back on my cabinet. My room is normal sized so i think like 10x10 feet room. I have a loft so storage space underneath it. But i've gone through all of it and have not found it. I checked behind the hamper and cabinet, and in the hamper. Some of my laundry has been done so maybe in the laundry room siting aside? Who knows..

But there's a basic lay out of the situation and description of my room/area it was last seen.

No it has not left my house!

Anyways, hopefully i get a response to jog a thought and possibly find it
