Can you not change the names of units in PTW editor like you could in the Civ III edi

Can you not change the names of units in PTW editor like you could in the Civ III editor? Does not work for me!!!

No its a painfull process to change names or add units in PTW, if you like I can tell you the method I was shown.

No, it's not. You just have to add them to the pediaicons.txt file also. Takes all of 30 seconds longer than the civ3 way.

please someone explain how to do it for me. ive tried to pen up the pediaicons.txt with notepad, wordpad, and word and none of them work. is there any other way???

I agree with Warpstorm, It's easier for the Downloader, if you download a mod, you have to do very little work, as its all mapped out for you in one or two Files, however, if you are a casual modder, it is more difficult, but more rewarding. BTW Notepad works, and tell us if the thread didnt solve the problem, just what unit are you trying to add? If its the Extra Units that come with the game, I can post my Pedia Icons an Civilopedia files, I would rather not but . . . They arent much (you can add to it later), but at least the units will work.
