Can you visit a spoiler if you lost before the required limit?

I've lost all of the GOTM/COTM that I've played so far. Is it appropriate to visit and contribute (however so slightly) to the spoiler threads? I've been holding off to reply to the threads because I didn't meet the minimum requirement. Just wondering....

Of course.

You shouldn't visit when you're still playing the game and you could benifit, for instance by knowing resourse locations before you've researched that tech or by knowing which end dates others have achieved. When you've submitted your game, whether it be win or loss you're free to read all the spoilers and contribute to the discussions.

Yeah I've visited the threads after the loss but I haven't replied yet. I just didn't want to clutter up the thread too much with my pitiful play and wanted to know if it was encouraged, discouraged, or even allowed.

Posting about your experiences with the game are always encouraged as long as you stay within the spoiler.

Reading about how someone lost a game can be just as educational as how someone won it.

Also, if you have questions about where things went wrong, you should put them in your post. There are a lot of people here who can give pointers.

I always enjoy them. A little too much if you ask my wife. I just can't handle the higher levels yet. I just got through my first Monarch game. I reloaded a couple of times so it really doesn't count, but it was educational which is what I was shooting for. Right now I don't care about winning too much, just learning about the game mechanics and how to use them to my advantage.

I think the spoilers tend to be a bit unbalanced with stronger games as it is. As this game is supposed to be fun, I would welcome more people writing up rubbish games, like my go at cotm7.

We all like to read about SirPleb's latest brilliance, but the forum would be much richer if people in the lower half of the table wrote more too. Many of my favorite posts were witty reports of disasters.

Yes, please post your experiences (in the appropriate Spoiler), and make any other comments, questions, etc..., you may have.

I wanted to point out that the last 4 G/COTM's have been at Deity, Emperor, Emperor and Demi-God levels. Some participants were complaining a couple months ago that there hadn't been any high-level games recently; I would say that trend has changed , but it is a bit harder for the Regent/Monarch (Warlord ...) level players to submit victorious games. Hang in there!
