cancelling capitulation

Hello all!
One of the peace terms the other civ offerd me was capitulation.
So far I destroyed all civilizations except my vassal, and now it is his turn XD
but I cant declare war because of the capitulation.
Does anyone know how can I defeat him now? (conquest)

I think there is small possibility of your vassal declaring war on you if make enough "arrogant demands", otherwise vassal needs to grow up big enough for limits needed to break away from you.

You don't need to destroy your vassals (capitulated or otherwise) to win by Conquest - they are already "defeated" as far as you are concerned.

Let him capitulate to you and you've won by conquest. If you have destroyed everyone else except your vassal, have you not already won by conquest?

Most games I end up with Domination rather than Conquest but often along the way the world is littered with city-states which were former empires ground down to one city and then capitulated rather than exterminated, usually because they are offshore and I can't be bothered sending out another shipful of soldiers.
