Cannot build academy

I'm just wondering why I have no been able to construct an academy for 2000 years!!

edit: I may be missing something exceedingly obvious this is BTS with latest patch

even though i've seen civilopedia stuff that implies, for example, that military academies can't be built until you tech either Military science or military tradition, and there might be similar text about regular academies....I've found the only way to construct an academy in BTS in regular game play is to sacrifice a great scientist.

That's exactly what I plan on doing; however, there is no box for that option.

what you are showing in the screenshot is a great engineer. Guy who is credited for discovering Radio waves if I miss my guess (and a little early compared to his true history time based on the outfit...)

no problem! ....I'm amazed I got it myself, since the only things I ever pop are great spies and great artists....unless I'm running an Espionage or culture strategy....then I get a lot of Merchants.

Wait...you deleted the Great Engineer?

Why not use it to tech Radio...or help it rush build the Statue of Liberty?

maybe I'm tired,but there are a ton of uses for a GE...
