Cannot locate the CD-ROM

Hi I'm getting this error message and other weird things...

1- it took forever to load up when installing (to get to the first install screen)

2- after installing, when I try to play it loads for about 5 minutes before I get "Cannot locate the CD-ROM, select OK and restart the application". I've tried both discs obviously, with no luck.

3- If I restart the computer with the disc in the drive, it WILL NOT LOAD WINDOWS! It sits on a black screen, and the second I remove the disc from the drive, it loads up just fine.

4- Just to make sure, I made Best Buy exchange it.

I don't have NERO or any DVD or CD burning software installed on my computer. I do have a DVD RW drive. The computer ran the Civ 4 demo just fine.

Just an addendum, I've tried it in two computers now. One has a DVD and CD RW drive combo, the other has just a CD RW combo.

Try the solutions suggested at microsoft.com.

Nothing on the MS website worked, and nothing 2K Games's tech support told me worked either (although it was mostly identical to MS)

Any other suggestions before I ship the game back to 2K itself, which tech support is having me do next? I'd rather not wait another month to play the game.
