Cannot start game

Have not played civ V since before the patch. Now when I try to start a new game I get a message

Select desired version of the game to play. Right Click an option for more options ...

Since the first option is the only one that I can select I sellect it then nothing. Message goes away and nothing happens.

I am currently using windows XP. I do not have a program called "NVIDIA Control Panel". Under the Control Panel I have "NVIDIA nView Desktop Manager" and "NVIDIA PhysX". When I double click "NVIDIA nView Desktop Manager" nothing happens, it appears to be glitched.

When I double click "NVIDIA PhysX" I get a window called PhysX properties. It looks nothing like what the picture on the "Tech Support FAQs..." thred looks like.

Now what?

You're looking at the wrong spot .

What I meant was:

Q.) "Please provide a Dxdiag." What does this mean, how do i do that?

Hit the "Windows key" and "R", type in Dxdiag, hit enter. A menu will appear, with a save option at the right bottom. Do this, save it as a file and attach it here. We are able to see what system and drivers you have with this file.

a) you should install the SP3 for XP, because that's the minimum requirement
b) afterwards you should update your 2.5 years old graphics card driver (download)
