Here is my problem: Two of us are hooked up to router. Necesseary ports are open, we all have patch and we have both been able to host and join internet and our own LAN games. We have friend across the US and want to play a 3 player game. I can't seem to figure out how to host a game so that both my roommate (LAN) and friend (internet) can join my game. Our friend can host a game and both myself and roommate can connect to his game via internet. However, his connection is less than optimal and gameplay can be painfully slow at times. When I host local game, friend across US can't see it (obviously) and when I host internet game, roommate can't see mine. I tried to host an IP game locally, but only my roommate could connect via IP (over LAN). Does anyone know if it is *POSSIBLE* to host a game where one player connects via LAN and one via INTERNET? And how would I do this? Many thanks for any help.

Hey, I have the exact same problem. We had it working for a while with the person playing by internet hosting. It worked until about 1000 BC, we got an error and haven't been able to make it work sense. Not with the right ports open, and it doesn't matter who hosts, it still won't work. Maybe there is a way, but I haven't heard about it.
