Can't install CIV IV

My game disc gets about half the way through and then says 'Feature Tranfer Error' and says the file "E:/data2.cab" is an incorrect function...Any help? Please and Thank you...Btw the game disc used to work

This is usually due to a dirty/damaged disc.

Try gently cleaning the disc
If you have more than one optical drive try it on the other one
Try copying the contents of the disc to a folder on your hard drive and installing from there
Try copying the contents of the disc onto a folder on another computer then copying the folder to your hard drive and installing from there.

The above sometimes works, unfortunately it often means buying a new copy of the game if you have had it too long to exchange it.
