Can't load mod properly

Hi all,

First time I've posted so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I can get as far as loading the mod. All the backgrounds are c2c and even some of the terrain graphics are different. Otherwise though the game is unchanged. Can anyone help with what I'm doing wrong please?

Is mod folder named "caveman2cosmos"?

Is mod folder named "caveman2cosmos"?

It's called caveman2cosmosv38.1
I've downloaded it a few times and it's always called that name.

Rename folder to caveman2cosmos, probably you have outdated version.

Newest version is V38.5, was released today

I tried renaming, now it doesn't load the mod. It begins the loading screen but then it vanishes and goes back to desktop.

Eh probably needs capitalized letters - Caveman2Cosmos

If you get the new 38.5 download, completely replace the entire old Caveman2Cosmos folder by DELETING the old one and putting the new one in place in full. Merging the two folders is a recipe for disaster.

I can't seem to get the current version of CBP to work. I used the automatic installer. I checked all of the CBP programs (1-6a). When I attempt to start a game, the screen goes blank and returns to desktop. Any help?

Install game normally.
