Can't pass friendly units...

Anyone come across this? In my current game I can't seem to pass friendly units. AI units in my territory block the use of my roads. Never seen this before... did I accidentally click on an option?
 
Your civilians can never pass through another civ's units. Your military units should be able to, unless there is literally no open tile within range.
 
You can only pass if an appropriate tile is free. If they are massed, this may not be possible. Note that your civilians may not be on the same tile as an AI unit of any kind, whether friendly or not. Usually it is possible to go around, but that may take longer, or they can swim!
 
I think it is pretty stupid that civilian units are blocked by friendly units in your territory. Seems like that would be hammered out in the Status of Forces Agreement:). This is more of a bug than a feature.

I agree, logic dictates that this should be allowed, and it's something I've been expecting to come up in a patch. That it hasn't has me wondering whether there is a reason why it hasn't been put in...
 
That is why I refuse open borders after they get to the place they have no where to put their units except in my territory. In fact I would rather them not declare war and stick a knife in my back if their troops are "massed" in my territory.
 
Wierd I never noticed it until recently (and I've been playing since release). Stupid feature - must be a bug - Firaxis guys: please sort!
 
It's a problem that rarely comes up, but when it does, it's really annoying. It would be nice if they fixed this, indeed.

I have also been having this problem recently. I decided recently to play with teams to see how the game played and this is my major complaint about it.

If one of my units wants to go somewhere but there is an AI on the road, he will get off the road and walk all the way around. It is also annoying when AI military units block your workers from being able to work a space.
 
I find the civilian blocking really annoying because I like to use the option where you select a starting point and an end point to build a road, but if there is a military unit in the way you wind up with the Route Cancelled message. Just plain annoying.
