Can't play after patch

Same issue here. It clearly has to do something with the patch, havent got this problem before. What is wrong with this guys?? They bring out a total buggy and unstable game and then bring out a patch who brings in even more bugs WTH??

I've been playing CIV V after the patch without problems and have managed to get to the end game (500 turns) several times as well as winning before then. Ihave played on a variety of map sizes - up to the larger ones. In the late game as the whole map is revealed (after sending out a caravel but also when I get sattelites) the game does slow down considerably. I'd suggest turning your graphic settings down to see if this improves things.

I could not continue a save game prior to the patch though so I abandoned it.

I'm using the DX10/DX11 version of the game.

I am using a pair of GTX295s in SLI with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I use 2560x1600 resolution (which is the native resolution of my monitor).

Ok, so my problem was a corrupted file. Ran the file verifier in steam and it deleted and re-downloaded a 22mb file, so far i am not crashing up to turn 115, so hopefully this fixed it for me.

My game found one file as well and I thought it was going to work. But immediately after I got another message telling me I had an "Incomplete Installation of Sid Meier's Civilization V (10)....damnit!!!!!!!! I thought I had this fixed.

I am having the same issues as reported above. Since the patch all of my previously saved games won't load. New games will play but I've already invested too much time to start over. I get the C++ Runtime error when I try to load prevously saved games and have tried every possible solution I have found on the Internet; none have worked. I have Windows 7 with 8GB of RAM and am running a Nvidia Geforce GTS 240 graphics card with update drivers. This problem is two weeks old and it just doesn't seem like the company cares. I must have read 100+ posts from others with my exact problem and haven't heard a peep from Firaxis. If this doesn't get resolved soon it's back to console gaming for me. I came back to computer gaming because games like Civ 5 are so much easier to play on a computer and I enjoy Civilization immensely but at least with a Console game I know I'm not going to waste 40 hours of my life for no apparent reason.

Dismayed
