Can't uninstall...

I went on line for the first time, down loaded as requested.
Lost some link in the program, tryed to unistall, wont let me..
Went to program files & deleted game files.
Still wont let me uninstall / reinstall???

It's only Civ4.. but there's an update who's been installed and I can't play or remove it since this day !

what is the problem with playing?

At first, the game were running normaly (scuse my english, it's not my usual language..) but after I installed the update that Civ4 downloaded itself from the main menu, it's refused to lauch the game. So I tried to remove it from the control panel of my compu.. then I got the error -5004: 0x80041f42. Since that day, impossible to re-write the game on the prrevious one, impossible to remove it from the control panel and, of course, impossible to play. I didn't get in the files for deleting the game.

ok - so the uninstaller messed your files up. Is this windows xp or Vista?
I'll post a howto uninstall and install manually - but would like that information... also is this a cd/dvd version or a download one?
