Can't use Java Chat on Win XP Pro

I can no longer use the Java Chat after installing Windows XP Pro. It just shows an X in the applet area...

Any idea?

http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp Go there, click "free download" and it will install the version for IE. Your console will then work.

I assumed it was because Microsoft didn't include java support in Windows XP pro?

Well basically ever since Sun and Microsoft went through all that nasty litigation and legal battles, they decided to keep their items seperate for some reason.

In fact, Microsoft launched an special version of Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1, called Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1a, that didn't include the Java support that the first Service Pack included.
