cant used range attack from a city and not receiving coal

Everytime i try and attack an enemy using a city, the game just moves my screen to another unit. also i built a mine in a tile that I own over a coal resource and i'm not receiving any coal. Im using civilization v with gods and kings and all dlc

Welcome to CFC!

I have no problem with Kaupang bombarding the Zurich Lancer. Do you click on the bombard icon, move your mouse cursor over the Lancer and then click on the Lancer?

The coal resource SW of Gao doesn't have a mine. One has only been partially built. Probably a worker stopped building the mine because of the approach of an enemy unit.

thank you about the coal... and yes i click on the icon and then click on the unit and nothing happens

Click the bombard button and you should then get a red circle around the unit, left click on it to bombard.

Don't click on the unit icon (the one that displays on top of the unit to identify it), I am pretty sure that doesn't work.
