The neat thing about his Battle-Van was that in the back he had a motorcycle facing the rear of the van. In times of need he could pop open the back doors and explode onto the scene with his engine revved and his shield poised...

But why didn't they take it to the next level? I want to see the Captain drive his van into the cargo bay of a huge transport Harrier jet, then land the plane on a special aircraft carrier, then pilot the carrier into the hull of a giant intergalactic spaceship.

Imagine the incredible sequence of panels you would get with this...

Inside the spaceship is an aircraft carrier. On the carrier is the Harrier. In the Harrier is the van. And inside the van is his motorcycle.

Just like those Russian dolls.

That would rock!

Hmm.

Gadalf says: "The logic of your threads seems lessened of late, Mojotronica king!" :D

I am very familiar with the motorcycle, but not the battle van. Wasn't that just a toy? I don't recall it showing up in the comix, like Hobgoblin's Winnebago did. I'd be against Captain America flying a plane, just like I think it is riduclous when James Bond does.

@Mojotronica specifically-
Maybe you should count to forty five before you hit the new thread key again... ;)

All --

Sorry -- they can't all be winners...

I was hopeful you would at least find this one entertaining...

Should have opened it in Humor.

AoA or Lefty? Please move it at your earliest convenience.

Yeah, I've never seen Cap having a van, but I haven't read every Captain America comic written, either. Hobby's battle-van kicked serious a$$, though. Those were some classic yarns.

Cap does fly those Avengers' jets, so he can probably fly a plane.

What I loved about the battle van was that it still had the Winnebago W on it. The brawl inside the van when it plunged into the East River was a highlight of my early teens.

Captain America on a motorcycle with the shield, riding around Bavaria looking for the Red Skull... that's the movie I want to see...

That brawl was classic. I still have those issues, ragged, torn, stapled, and taped. Some kids had a favorite blanket or stuffed animal, I had those!

My issues got ruined inside their plastic lining bags when my parent's washing machine hose came free from the back of the machine and filled the basement with 3 feet of water. Always turn off the water supply to your washing machine when not in use. :(

who was that guy on the tv show that was a rip off of captain america? he had the big blond white-man's afro and rode a motor cycle.

"The Greatest American Hero" was the show, I thought of him as more a "shazam" rip off. William Katt was the actor.

yeah, baby!!!
