Capturing wandering monsters

In 0.16, I noticed that there are some terrain feature that spawn units now.

This is an awesome addition. One of them, burrough(?), spawns skeletons. Is there a way to capture these units?

For example, say you have a conjurer with the death magic sphere, it would be nice if there was a way for this unit to capture the wandering skeletons. After all, it can summon skeleton by itself, so it wouldn't be illogical for it to be able to do so.

Perhaps when combined with another spell sphere?
 
That would be a neat addition, although I do prefer to cleanse my lands of Barrows well before I get to having mages. It'd be even neater if we got a reward for sacking a barrow or a ruin... looting!

While you're asking anyway, how about capturing demons from the Hellpit? I placed one on a map for fun and it was an absolute nightmare! But fun! Sort of like a Control Undead/Demon spell or ability.

Maybe even ancient weapons or armour like is being talked about for the equipment addition of the game (which I remember hearing about some time ago). Pulling out and using some ancient pre-Ice Age hero's sword sounds like a good time to me!
 
Well a simple thing they could do is give what ever unit sacked them the enchanted weapon promotion. It would be a neat reward and a long time before it would be possible to get.
 
You know.. I forgot all about the Enchanted Weapon promotion. I think that's a boss idea! Is it possible, scriptwise, to allot a randomizer between that and standard grave loot? I'm rubbish at coding.
 
Should be relatively simple, since they seem to use bits of the goody hut code as it is (they're recommended as destinations for scouts, for instance) - you could simply make use of the same bits of code for ruins and barrows. Not sure if it'd be able to grant a promotion without some extra work, but granting gold, units (hostile or friendly), map exploration or experience should be pretty straightforward.
 
I vote for a "command undead" promotion be given to Liches.
Trouble with too much bonus from barrow is that they are buidable by Orcs, but Kael said he was considering puting a few gold there.

The goody hut code is so that the AI knows to take them out before they start spawning.
 
Buildable by Barb Orcs or Clan Orcs? I noticed that when I researched Necromancy earlier today. In any event, if it is only buildable by Barb Orcs bonii in the Barrows isn't such a bad deal. If Clan Orcs can build it, then I understand the trouble. Still, flavourwise the chance of drawing the sword of an ancient hero is fun :3
 
Maybe have a cost attached to building a barrow? That way it could be pillaged for gold, but not more gold than it cost to build it. Plus, it would make barrow spamming have an attached penalty.
 
I like the barrows, I was wondering if later in game when every thing is secure and there are no barbarians to chase could it be possible to allow the mana points to randomly spawn creatures of their sphere every once in a while? Sort of supernatural barbarians leaking through....
