In a Civ:TOT game in 1944 I went from 160 or so future techs to 205 in one turn. In 1945 I turned my science to 0 as I wanted to max my score before getting to 255 future tech.
The only problem is that now whenever I send a caravan anywhere, no matter how valuable the cargo, I can only get a maximum of 380 gold per caravan. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Odd. In my Civ2:Classic games, the "Trade Paradigm Collapse" (TPC) (i.e., max gold per caravan in the 300s) occurs when the "beaker per advance" maxes out at 32,000 beakers per advance. But once I achieve the Future Tech Rollover, then the "trade paradigm" kicks in again, and my freight are again worth their normal rates. ... If you have the 1943 turn saved, you might try and open up the cheat menu, Edit King, and see what rate is required for the next advance by Edit Research Progress. I suppose it might be possible that if a civilization never reaches the 32,000 beaker per advance maximum, then the TPC might occur after the FT Rollover.
