CD drive problems, help please

[Ancient Grudge]

For a couple of days now my two cd drives (one cd re-writer), havent been working.

They havent been able to read any disks or burn any cds.

After i put the cds in and go to my computer screen the two drives show that there are no cds within the drives but there are i dont know whats wrong.

please help

Hmm. hard to say. I'd check the cables but since they both show in the windows it's probably not that. If they are both in the same cable you could try taking the other drive off and try with only one and see if that works or not. [edit]probably someone wiser can tell[/edit]
