CD key problem

I bought Pirates above two years ago on ebay. I got a box with cd's and everything (though it seems that it came from Thailand) and I had no problem installing and playing it. But to make room for other games (lol WoW) I uninstalled it and now that I want to play it again I'm having trouble with the cdkey part. A little while ago I threw out the box with the manual (cause i thought it was totally useless) but I kept the case for the game because games usually have the cd keys on it. But when I couldn't find the cd-key, I read some posts and realized that the cd-key was in the bloody manual. Does anyone have any advice on getting a cd-key? I don't want to buy a whole new game and I've tried some cd-keys that a couple people posted but they didn't work.
