Help! I put my C3C cd in on top of another cd in the drive. The autorun tried to spin them both, resulting in a few scratches on my CD. Now the drive is unable to read it! What am I to do? Any good ideas on how to remove cd scratches short of getting a new cd?

Apparantly theres this protective cd/dvd film you can put over them that protects them. Im told it can even be put on after you get a scratch as long as its not to deep it will actually work. There not to expensive and plenty of retailers stock them or can get them in for you.

WalMart and stores like it usually sell a dvd/cd repair kit that will fill in the scratches. Unless it's really scratched bad from the cd player, a couple of scratches shouldn't hurt it.

i bought something called the DiscDoctor. it does a pretty good job. all my skipping CD were just fine afterwards. also when i'd buy used games for PS2 and PSX, i'd use it to clean them right up and have em working like new.

If there are scratches on the label side tho. your CDs are pretty much toast.
