Very tricky game... Many positive outcomes are needed to get a good date here. Advices welcome.

1) This setup allows to Oracle CS in about 50% of times if math bulbed. But you have about 1 in 4 to Oracle CS via pure research as well.
2) On the other hand, many river tiles is a must, as they are usable in late game as well.
3) As Pericles asks for specialists Mids is the second wonder, that I count absolutely nessecary to be completed (or conquered early). Getting Mid after/simultaneously with CS oracling and being successful there too - this is where things get more complicated. I know Emperor is not very high level, but lunatic of Montezuma involved the danger of incoming attack is rather real.
4) If all goes well, You get very big advantage over AI in tech pace. In best tries I have been able to Lib Radio or Refri. Again, going for Cereal is a question mark for me. Sure it would help cities to grow, but on a map with only few happiness ressources is it optimal? And probably its better to use caste until quite the end of game? That would add unhappiness from missing emancip.
5) And where I fail for most: when to stop producing military and switch to research/build only? I start very well, but getting stagnated in late mid game. War success is mediocre, as I try to avoid building too many units (coz of pacifism obv). How many core cities would be optimal? What is a good science/turn output in this game?

I guess I lose focus somewhere and what started out very well, ends in mediocre 1900s game.

Sigh....

hey Lymond. Please check, why my submission no 27957 is not in challange table? It is accepted for a week already. Did I miss something in conditions`?

Now... this a new level of mocking. Uninstall for half year!!

I don't get why you screenshotted the Great Merchant, but regarding Willems cultural victory: If games last too long, you need to stop the AI from winning. It probably would have been very easy for you to put a little espionage on him, and destroy the Cathedrals in his L-cities.
Of course, war and razing is the more permanent solution ^^ .

Look closer. Willem went legendary at the SAME turn as my spaceship ARRIVED.
Thtas why i posted 3 shots.

And interesting why he won, as human player should be first player, whose turn it is.

Not sure, but I think, there's a turn 0 with Spacerace victories.

Im sure, Willem went legendary with last City and my spaceship would arrive at same turn.

Wouldn't it basically be a coin flip between the 2 parties that would be able to win on a turn? If its a coin flip for conquest/domination, wouldn't it be a coin flip for 2 parties with one condition each like 1 party with 2 conditions? So, I think, dohh, you lost on a 50/50 draw.

I'm not so sure about that. This is a turn based game and Willem's turn comes between your turns. It might be that he would always win in this situation.

I think elitetroops is right. When seeing that AI and HUMAN player are the same number or turns away of something, AI reaches it first.

Forget what I wrote about T0. I just looked it up, and you imho should have won the game. Maybe you can test, if it's a coinflip or if AI always wins when human and AI victory happen on the same turn. I'm sure you got a save of 1T before victory.
