Change drive letter?

Is there any way to change the drive letter where Civ4 should look for the CD? I can't find an option for that in the INIs or the registry.

I originally installed with the disc in my E: drive, and the game ran fine when I kept the CD there. But that drive has since developed hardware problems, and won't read from any disc. If I put the Civ4 disc in my F: drive instead, it's not recognized or detected, and the game refuses to start.

How do I tell the game that it needs to look in a new place?

Don't know how to make it do that (it would be useful to know though). You could of course change your drive letters around so that the working one has the same drive letter as you installed it from (you'll have to change the non-working drive to something different first).

Your best bet would be to change the drive letter with Windows. Here is a link to an article at microsoft.com on how to do it.
