Get rid of that strange white thing in the bonus grasslands, use a few trees instead to represent grassland with bushes, you get one shield from the wood like in the forests, but since most of the terrain is grassland, you can irrigate it for extra food. And it looks good too, I'll also post a screenshot.

I just copied and pasted, no real work. Im sure someone can make something better with this idea, one sugestion though, dont make the trees too big like snoopy's forests, or you'll have a hard time distinguishing between forests and bonus grassland.

Copy the file to your Civilization 3\Art\Terrain folder
or replace Civilization 3 with a scenario folder if it uses different terrain graphics.

You know, I never play with the resource indicators on, allthough the graphical modding capacity with these is enormous!

Very interesting Madeira.

Thanks guys! :)
Go ahead and use it in your scenarios/mods.

You might also notice the different mine graphic, I did that one (also copy and paste from other sources) so mines in forests and grassland/etc wont look stupid :)

I can also post that.

Here's the pcx with the different mine, it also includes other stuff made by other people i think, dont remember who, sorry :(
Goes to the same folder.

Neomega, actually it seems the food indicators are pretty useless. You can do Madeira or Cordy (he did rocks & trees) did to replace grassland's shields but you won't get any advantage of food indicators. I checked how they work - there are 6 lines of tiles, each correspond to one terrain (not to the actual food/shields value of land...):
1 - grassland
2 - grassland w/outcropping
3 - plains
4 - desert OR grassland w/outcropping if the feature is off
5 - tundra
6 - flood plains

these indicators will appear _always_ on that type of terrain so it gives absolutely no advantage over editing the terrain tiles :(
