Hey guys

It's been a while since I dropped by. Been busy with work and all. I had a couple of questions...

1: Where can I find a list of changes that have occured from 0.30 to 0.31?

2: Can I install 0.31 over the top of 0.30x, then apply the relevant patches as before?

3: BIG QUESTION... have cultural defense bonuses been nerfed a little? I recall this being the case a while ago (in order to make walls etc worthwhile).

1. The 0.31 Cangelog thread is still on the first forum page: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=256868

In addition, the first post in the 0.31 Bug Thread will tell you about the patch changes. The most prominent change was the removal of the summoning line which is described in http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=267431

2. It will install to a new folder by default so you will keep your 0.30 installation if you don't remove it manually.

3. Yes, see the changelog thread for details.

Awesome. Thanks man. Keeping the 0.30 installation would be good... does this mean I just load FfH 0.31 instead of 0.30?

Also after reading the changelog, I'm curious about blight. Does this not downgrade plains to desert anymore? The details seemed a little vague. How exactly has this changed?

It now deals a random amount of death damage to living units (an average of 25%), and (using the same mechanism as the BtS "poison water" espionage mission) it adds temporary unhealthiness in all cities (equal to the city population plus a random number from 0 to 11).

It sometimes seems to hit multiple times, but it is actually a different event, Pestilence; this is the same as Blight except the health penalties are only half as strong. It too requires an AC of at least 40, but it is random, so it may or may not hit on any turn with a high enough AC.

AWESOME! Blight no longer completely ruins the world. I'm very happy about this I must say. Do pastures stay intact?

*Drool* Sacrafice the weak all the more powerful under the effects of blight :D

Thanks again Magister :)

Yes, exactly. I usually take the link from the FFH folder, rename it to reflect the current version number and place it on the desktop.

@Blight: There was initially a bug that made the new blight even more devastating. Blight triggered multiple times on a single civ, effectively crushing the civ that contributed the final step to AC 40. In my first 0.31 game I invaded a civ that had all cities reduced to 1 population.
