When playing with more opponents than there are positions on the Foreign Advisor Screen (eight, I think), laterly encountered rulers won't show up on it. What's worse, if I wipe out one of the civs represented on the FAS, it won't be replaced by one of the unrepresented ones still around.

Is there any way I can change which rulers are shown on the FAS?

Control shift and right click on the leader - failing that control shift and left click

You have to hold control and shift down at same time btw

What I can NOT understand is why Firaxis has done nothing since the game was released to help people with this problem. Either make up a screen with more circles (12 hour positions like a clock) or at least put an information button on the screen to give you the keyboard commands to switch rulers to the ones you want.

I think that the diplomacy screen was setup for a max of 8 players and they just did not bother to adjust it when the maximum number of civs was increased to 16. Try figuring out whether another nation has an MPP when there are more than 8 still in the game. You would have to cycle thru an incredible amount of possible relationships to be sure that your targeted enemy does not have an unexpected ally.

I would prefer having the option of a report in table form that lays out the diplomatic situation for a country I click on. That way you see what ROPs they have, their war/peace status, any alliances, and any MPPs at a glance rather than clicking thru several screens.
