Hiya,

Is there way/has some one found a way to change the AI player limits on the maps?

Thanks!

thanks but how do i change the limit per map size? for example, i want 10 civs on a tiny map...?

You just select the desired settings for your game (in your case tiny map size), then you go to "advanced setup" and then you just click on the "Add AI Player" button eight times, and you now have 10 civs on a tiny map.

I'd like to have a 'maybe add AI player' button or map size standard settings having a little degree of freedom how many civs start. It would be a bit more fun to explore wouldn't knowing if there will be 12 civs or 13 to find. Maybe start with the 4 player map that can also have 3 or 5 civs on it until the 12 player map, that might have 10-14.

Yeah, did that still only ended up with 4 civs...?

There is a bug, related to things like distance between civs and requiring good starting spots that can cause not all civs to spawn on crowded maps, that might be the problem. In that case I think you're better off asking a modder like Seven05 or Gedemon if they can make a mod where civs can spawn much closer to one another than they normally would and/or don't require as good starting spots. For Seven05 I know for certain that he's fiddled with the relevant code.

Yeah, the game i just tried it on had 4 civs on pangea (selected 24), but all on the left side of Pangea, the right side was completely blank..
